benjamin_martin@hms.harvard.edu
Ben is a post-doctoral fellow studying the interplay between metabolic and transcriptional changes during cell state transitions, with a focus on the regulation of histone modifications.
Emily is a post-doctoral fellow studying the regulation of enhancer activity through transcription factor recruitment and the potential roles of enhancer RNA synthesis. Her current goal is to define sequence requirements of enhancer function using in vivo screens.
Andrew is a post-doctoral fellow interested in transient cell states that underpin embryonic stem cell differentiation and development. In particular, he is investigating the role of enhancer commissioning and decommissioning in the transition from naive to primed stem cells. He is also probing the importance of specific enhancers and enhancer features at the cellular and mechanistic levels using a combination of bulk, single cell, and biochemical techniques.
Hanneke_Vlaming@hms.harvard.edu
Hanneke is a post-doctoral fellow interested in uncovering the signals that tell RNA polymerase II when to terminate transcription of non-coding RNAs. She also hopes to understand how the mode of transcription termination is coupled to the processing and stability of nascent non-coding RNAs.
