Congratulations Claudia!

This important paper shows just how fast mammalian splicing can be, and demonstrates that splicing occurs without Pol II pausing near splice sites. Further, using long-read sequencing Claudia and Kirsten find that failure to splice an RNA molecule causes defects in 3' end formation.

A wonderful collaboration with Karla Neugebauer's lab!

Congratulations Jessica!

Jessica Bruzzone was awarded an EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship! Congrats Jessica on your super exciting project and award!

Welcome Jessica!

Welcome Jessica, our newest lab member! Jessica is a postdoc who previously obtained her PhD from the University of Geneva, in the lab of David Shore.

Karen interviewed

Karen was recently interviewed by Jan Witkowski, while at the RNA control & regulation Symposium at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. She talks about our recent work on the Integrator complex!

If you want to read about this work, check out the preprint, or keep an eye out for it in Molecular Cell!

Welcome David!

Welcome to David Jee, a new postdoctoral fellow who joined our lab this summer! He's already off to a great start!

David was previously at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he obtained his PhD in the lab of Dr. Eric Lai.

Congratulations Chad and Claudia!

The whole Adelman lab is very proud of Chad and Claudia, who both did a great job in their pre-qualifying exams. They passed with flying colors!

Welcome Ben!

The Adelman lab is happy to welcome a very talented new postdoc. Ben obtained his PhD from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where he worked in the lab of Dr Leann Howe.

Congratulations Hanneke!

Hanneke Vlaming has been awarded multiple postdoctoral fellowships, including an EMBO fellowship, a Rubicon Scholarship and a fellowship from the Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP). Way to go Hanneke!
